Your profile states you have a 1993 Corvette, this forum is the 1968 to 1982 Corvette.
What year is your car?
Are you referring to a brake rotor as opposed to a distributor rotor?
Assuming you have a C3 Corvette and are referring to a brake rotor can you clearly explain what problem you are dealing with?
I have a 77 l-82 4 speed car i have had since 1987. I also have a 93 6 speed car i bought new. The rotor is for the 77 HEI ignition I have many original parts i have taken off the car and saved. but do not know if i should re use
2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
2019 C3 of Year Winner (performance mods)
2016 C3 of Year Finalist
The dizzy rotor wears on the ends as it creates a spark, it burns the end off. If its burned, pitted, corroded or is obviously not the original shape, I would buy a new one, they are cheap disposable parts. If you replace the rotor, replace the cap. On an HEI you need to transfer the coil and cover. Dont throw anything away until you have the new one. I have used the old cap with the center cut out for a timing tool when reinstalling the distributor

i get it now. If it shows signs of wear at the center contact or burning at the far, outside point, just replace it. Cheap, disposable part.
