On my '79 I'm having some electrical issues - figuring most of them out, but then found these two wires near the starter - tried to get good pics without jacking it up....
Anyone recognise these and where they go? The transmission wires are hooked up...there's a ground wire to the block...
and also a p[ic of it at the top - there's a green and a black wire taped off - do they go to the hood alarm switch next to it? I've unhooked the alarm relay under the console
already so they don't need to be hooked up anyway now do they?
black and blue mystery wires.. best I could get of the starter connections by crawling under it. the blue and black wires goes down to the starter area - from a connector with blue, black, and red wires. See the green and black wire taped of by the hood switch....any ideas? nothing attached to the switch.
According to my '78 wiring diagram light blue and black are for the under hood alarm switch (the switch you say has nothing going to it. Light green is backup light switch on a manual transmission and dark green is the temp sensor on the engine block. Not sure if the same for a '79 but who knows?
Wiring loose ends....
