Had to change out a couple wires in my wiper motor and after disassembly i noticed the resister wire was not connected to anything opposite the terminal board..I circled the wire in red.
Believe it or not, that just sort of grounded against the inside of the cavity that the resistor sits in. Some are half around the post where they are sandwiched tight with the lid part when it's installed
