Hope anyone can help me with this. My quadrajet carb is ultrasonic cleaned and put a revision kit into it. After the first test drive I found out that is leaking quite a bit at the plug of the accelerator pump well. This plug seems to be open. Is this correct or should this be closed?
thanks for the he

It's a pressed-in plug. Not uncommon the the UT cleaning systems to knock the plugs loose and cause leaks in the other plugs. Filling the hole with JB is a bad idea - it will not prevent it from leaking over time. The hole needs to be drilled and tapped about 1/8" deep. Then, a 1/8" long socket head flat tipped set screw needs to be installed - this set screw should have the threads coated with JB. Install it until it bottoms hard against the bottom of the short-tapped threads.
