how to set tune adjust pointer/needle position to proper place
I have removed my needles and have replaced them with C6 ZO6 needles that also are lit... but I need to know the voltage in or resistance reedings so I can set the pointer to the correct place.

Here they are for anyone else that may need them some day..
For any fuel gauge from 1963-1982 to function properly you must have 0 ohms when empty, 45 ohms at one half a tank and 90 ohms at full tank.
Now just need water temp and oil pressure

The electric oil pressure sender output should read.
0 ohms = 0
45 ohms = 40 lbs.
90 ohms = 80 lbs.
Ohm out the sender and see what it's putting out.
On the electric gauge..
If the needle is at 3 o'clock, it is missing the input ohms signal, has power and ground so check for a break in the sending unit wire.
If the needle is at 0, the sending unit wire is grounded out. The gauge has power and ground.
If the needle is at 10-15 lbs constant, the resistor bad on the back of the gauge. The gauge has power and ground.
