This is a pic of my differential yoke looking up. Notice how the flange looks warped? Do I have a problem? Has anyone out there had their diff. rebuilt? How do you know you need this done? How much $$ was it? Is this something you should do after 110,000 miles as preventative medicine? :seeya
IF it isn't leaking or scraping or making other noises I wouldn't worry about it unless you plan some heavy drag racing. Looks like something might have hit it, maybe on installation even. I have seen worst with no problems.
Those u-joints have to fit SNUG or they won't be centered. You don't want a vibration there, next thing you know you are saying hello to your drive shaft as it comes through your floor. You could try it, but any vibration would be time to stop driving and go back to the drawing board.
