Would using these adapters with 7/16x20 threads cause any issues for me? Aside from having to buy 7/16x20 lug nuts instead of the m12x1.5 factory ones?

EDIT: the seller just sent me a link to the second screenshot. Those look like exactly what I would need? I already bought hub rings that go from 70.6 to 78.1 to fit the wheels I got.

7/16"-20 IS factory for C3s (and C2s). Does your car have metric studs?

One mod I've seen on this Forum is to put on longer 1/2"-20 studs, and longer racing lugs. Perhaps you have that?

i have no idea what threads my car has. I was just told that the stock 68 ones are 12x1.5.

Does this even matter if I’m getting adapters anyway?

It will matter for the nuts you use to bolt the adaptor to your hub. It's easy enough to check your threads with a tap and die set, or a nut from Home Depot. I'd certainly check if you can.

i will double check them today. I checked the box of lug nuts that came with my wheels and they are 7/16. My mechanic used those lug nuts to mount the wheels and he said they fit perfectly fine.

So so that would mean that the studs on the car are 7/16 not 12x1.5.

C3 Corvette did not have metric wheel studs.
What company did you get the adapters from?

i haven’t bought the adapters yet. The shop just mounted the rims with the supplied 7/16 lug nuts. The seller of the adapters has both 12x1.5 and 7/16x20 options.

I just wanted to make make sure I ordered the right ones.

Thanks for the reply.
I am looking to purchase some adapters soon.
I am curious about USA made adapters with imperial threaded studs.
Please let us know who you get them from.

Excellent, thanks! I hope that was helpful. I'm looking forward to seeing what you bolt on under your flares!

heres a little sneak preview! We still need to get the adapters and trim the fenders slightly. Those are 18x11 American racing wheels on 295 40 18 falken Azenis tires.

Good luck on the wheel project. I like white Vettes.

That Mach 1 looks like an interesting project.
