Default Quadrajet throttle cable/kick down cable setup

Hey folks, I'm about to pull my carburetor for rebuild and before I get too deep into it I want to make sure the throttle linkage and kick down cable are currently setup correctly.

I feel like the throttle cable should be mounted on that peg right below where it's currently mounted? Or maybe that peg is supposed to be mounted on the top hole? Any help or confirmation would be greatly appreciated, bonus points if you have a pic of your setup handy.

Here's the choke side just for kicks.

Thanks!

Looks correct to me. The extended linkage shaft would be for the cruise control rod from the servo.

Your linkage is correctly hooked up, and the long stud is for cruise control. I would, however, recommend that you check your linkage for full throttle travel: Have someone in the car push the pedal to the floor (with engine "off") and observe if the secondaries are fully opening (push your fast idle cam all the way "down" to allow the secondary lockout lever to retract). Chances are good that you are not getting full throttle travel on that year car/carb. If you're not, e-mail me for my paper on how to fix it.

Thanks you both! And Lars I will definitely be sure to check that once the carb is back on the car.
