Default Wheel Well #3 mount Access Opening

#3 PS access top seam has separated. What's the recommended repair procedure (besides using small explosives) ?
Thanks.

I am certain that someone with actual experience will chime in shortly but to me it looks like the bonding material separated in which case it should be as simple as removing the piece, cleaning off the old bonding adhesive, scuffing up both sides, and re-applying new bonding adhesive.

I have removed 4 original glued on panels and they are a *itch to get off. That's using a heat gun which will destroy your paint on your dogleg if you are not careful. My advice to you is to first break out the 30 or 40 grit and get the black paint off then the pink colour glue to.find the top of the panel which is straight, then try and get the big blob of glue they used as a filler in that area ground down with paper or a diegrinder that has small paper disc on it.

That's what I would do as a start anyway....

I anticipated it being no picnic doing a repair on this. If I clean away the old bonding material (top and left side) what is the "new" bonding agent I'd use ? As for getting it to lay against the wheel wheel I believe I can use a 2"x2" cut to length as a brace from rear to front of the wheel well and not have to remove the separated cover.
Thanks

I took mine off to get at a rusty birdcage mounts easier , I bought enough Lord fusor to rebond all 4 guards and a new hood surround on so I'm just going to use that in there , when I get around to it.

But for a once off maybe a smaller tube of sikaflex ,as long as you have no plans to get it off ever again!
