Hey, im lookin for a 1975, can anyone help me out with the particulars such as the engines avalible and how many were made with manual trany...any other info will be great, thanks alot in advance.... :seeya :yesnod:
Well the 75 is nice lookin, i like the 68's - 76's...the 75 has a good price range and i can always update the engine... your orange 75 is exactly what im lookin for , i hope to find one! :seeya
Ok...I was just curious. Around here it seems like the rubber bumper bunch are the bastich stepchildren of the C3's. :jester :jester :jester
Much will have to do with what you want to do with the car so far as locating one. The '75 Verts had the lowest production run of the C3's so there were fewer of them to start with and even fewer left on the road today (it was also the first to have HEI but alas also cats). If you want one that is in excellent unrestored condition it won't be cheap. If you're planning on bringing a semi worn out one back to life the initial purchase price will be reasonable but you'll spend the bucks bringing it back to good health. The downside is that it's got the lamest L48 ever produced so if you're not concerned with it being original you will HAVE to upgrade the motor. Mine is very, very original with under 40K miles and is in excellent condition but it is a downright slug compared to other C3s I've owned and isn't even in the same ballpark with my C5.
All in all I really like mine though. You never see them on the road here, it's a great open air cruiser loaded with options, very reliable and get's plenty of attention when I have it out. Now that the weather is cooling off a little I'll be driving it a lot more over the next few months.
Good luck with your search and post some pics when you find one.
