So I’ve searched high and low here and elsewhere on the internet and I can’t find anyone with experience running TBI with the Torker 2 on a BB? Well there was one guy over on chevelles with a 402 but not much more info! So, is there anyone here who is? I’m asking as I currently run a Torker 2 with a 750DP and with the air cleaner cap about 1/2” above the breathers I have a bit less than 1/4” clearance to the underside of the hood. So a taller manifold and is not an option. I want to go to sniper TBI but was hoping there was some detail on how well that setup works. My aim for the TBI is to clean up the idle and spluttering / stumble at low rpm that I currently get. I’ve got a 241/249@050 with 110 LSA cam that gets 8.5-9” of vacuum at 900rpm idle. So will TBI work with the Torker2? Can the air cleaner lid be closer to the throttle bores on TBI so I could add a spacer for more plenum volume, or are these issues mainly due to poor signal to the carb and irrelevant for EFI?

1. It appears to be a love it or hate it system, google it.
2.With a cam that produces that low of vacuum the efi may have a hard time auto tuning it, contact Holley before purchase.
3. Fatory TBI systems were reported to have an increase with a spacer added, not sure anyone has done testing with aftermarket tbi and spacers.
I have a 6.5 PV in primary. Blank in secondary. My understanding from literature is that PV adds fuel to the main circuit and would therefore make no difference at idle (given my throttle blades are set at the recommended exposure of the transfer slot, hence only the idle circuit is fueling at idle and transition)?
I think a big piece of the issue is the Torker. I’m now running it with the exhaust crossover open, which fuels much better (vaporisers the fuel from the accelerator pump on throttle application) but has introduced detonation from how hot the intake is. I figure now the fuel is atomised but the hot intake temp triggers detonation (I am running too much compression with 215 heads and -41cc pistons! I’m building some 049’s to address this issue too!). With the crossover blocked there is no pinging but poor fueling when the fuel from the squirters would just puddle in the manifold. Hence wanted to know if the improved fuel atomisation of TBI improves the Torker. I know MPFI would work but it’s much more $$$$.
