looking tk to replace the shocks on all four corners, has anyone out there used the shock KYB Gas-a-Just Gas Shock and if so what has your experience been like?
I bought KYB gas-a-just 's years ago, before I felt I could justify spending the money on the ones I actually wanted for a rarely driven car. A few years later I spent the money and bought what I really wanted anyway. My plan was to pass my hardly-used KYB's on to a friend. I discovered that two of the 4 had lost their 'gas' and couldn't bring myself to give them away and tossed them.
I now have Bilstiens on all of my Corvettes and have never regretted it.
Been running KYBs on all my cars for over 20 yrs. They give a fairly firm ride. Bilstein may be a "smarter" shock. I have herad good things about Edelbrocks.
I'm on my second set of KYB's on my '79 in 25 years. I'm very happy with them. There might be better shocks, but pretty sure in terms of bang for the buck there's nothing in the same league.
I've had KYB, Edelbrocks and now Bilsteins on my '71. The Bilsteins are vastly superior to the others. Both ride and handling is better.
I want straight to the Bilsteins, based on reviews just like this.
I like to save a few bucks (I didn't put in double adjustable coil overs, even though they are even better), but I hate doing something twice. I picked up a NOS set of Bilsteins for half price from the Forum.

Yeah I hate doing stuff twice too, but after owning a C3 for 28 years, you get used to it.
