Default 68 big block coil springs

Like anything else sometimes your not sure so you ask. Getting ready to put the front end back together and noticed the front coils on the front springs aren’t evenly spaced. Now I know sometimes this is done on purpose by the OEM to make a spring progressive. I’ve also seen springs that are like this because somebody put a torch to the coils.

This normal on C3 coils? Thanks.
