Default Driver side connector block

I have a 1972, 350, 4 speed. Not power brakes. I am replacing the front to rear brake line due to leak. I have the line attached to the connector block and have cranked on it pretty hard. It still swivels on the line. Shouldn't be able to swivel or it will leak? Thanks...pretty new to C3's.

check the flare on the new line. make sure it is formed properly, is round, and no visible defects. you can try loosing it up, just snugging it down, and rotating the line back and forth a couple of times. see if then you can snug the nut down further. may have to repeat this a few times.

Absolutely not supposed to move. When you tighten the line nut the line should be solid and not rotate at all. There must be something wrong with the flare
