Does this gap need to be sealed ?
Greetings programs,
I removed the wiper door mechanism and the wipers to clean out the valley and plug any holes.
I also need to seal the gap between the cage and the firewall. See below in red.
I also noticed there was a gap, or separation, in the yellow area. It’s behind the tip of the fender/cowl.
Should the area area highlighted in yellow be sealed ? Should a channel be left somewhere for water to escape ?

The red join should have a good seal for sure .
The top piece in yellow is part of the hood surround mounting piece. If it were mine I would clean up all the joins with sand paper and put some adhesive /sealer along the yellow join and some good quality sealer along the red line.
