I just installed the rebuilt engine and can't figure out where the ground strap/cable should be mounted. I don't see it and am thinking it must not have been there when I pulled the engine. Technically the engine is grounded as the exhaust pipe is clamped to the chassis but this is a weak ground I would think. The new engine turned over great and fired right up last night so the starter and coil are obviously getting a ground. Plus, I tested with an ohm meter and have right at 0.7 ohms. Even so, I'm thinking I should have a strap but not sure of the best place to mount it. Research doesn't reveal much. Thanks!
Perfect, thank you GP. I found just the place to install mine. The guy I bought car from never had one so all of the current was passing through other, undesirable grounds.
