Float level adjusting nut nylon washers
Has any one use the nylon washers for the float level adjusting nut and screw .I have just redone the float levels on my l68 and the paper gaskets don't last .Thanks

The paper gaskets work fine as long as you install them correctly: You need to put some wheel bearing grease between your thumb and forefinger, and then rub the gaskets between your fingers in the grease, like you're cleaning your contact lenses. This impregnates the gaskets in grease, and they will not rip or tear when you adjust the float levels.

Thanks Lars .I just tuned up my tripower and used all your info and would like to say the l68 has never run better. Starts with out touching the throttle and idles at 750rpm smooth as a big block can .Thanks again ,Its people like you that make this forum a asset for us corvette owners.
