Re: headlight vacum doesn't work (sweet79corvette)
Greetings,
It's a common problem...could be anything from an actuator that needs to be rebuilt/replaced or a relay...get a vaccum pump and start applying vaccum in several areas along the headlight system and you'll find the problem.
Re: headlight vacum doesn't work (sweet79corvette)
Welcome, I just got done repairing my headlights. There could be several
reasons why the light won't work but most of the time it is because of
the headlight actuator seals are bad. Check out this link for some info http://www.corvettemagazine.com/2002...s/lights-1.asp
You can also check out http://www.corvettefaq.com, I think there is info about
headlight actuators there. If the problem is just the seals, seals can be
gotten locally for about $30 - 40 bucks. If the main diaphram is leaking
then you will need new actuators which are about $100 each.
You can email me for more info if need be but trying to tell someone how
to trouble shoot failing headlights can be a bit hard.
I'm in Kailua.
