speedometer problems
How can I tell if the cruise control transducer is bad? I just replaced the speedometer cables(uper and lowr) and now the odometer wont move and the speed wont register above 30 mph. Could the speedometer just be bad? If so where can I get a good price on a used one.

Its hard to say for sure from here, but if it is registering 30 mph, at least the gearing portion of the transducer is probably OK. The fact that the odometer is not working and the speedo is, is an indication of the gears inside the speedo head being bad. This is common but usually doesnt effect the speed reading.
