Awakening the beast
Trying to start my '77, it has been dormant for about 3 1/2 years since the engine rebuild. After a fair amount of cranking not even a sputter, and no smell of fuel. I disconnected the hard fuel line at the carb and no fuel in sight. A couple of months ago when I connected the soft line to the hard line upstream of the pump I did see fuel at that point.
Any suggestions?

Will give that a try. Also see that you can fill the bowl by squirting some gas down the vent tube. Then hopefully the engine will run enough to fill the hard like

It should. It should be flowing downhill to the pump anyways so it just needs to pull enough to pump it up to the carbs. Do the fuel in the vent, not alot, then the starting fluid. If its getting spark it will fire up
