These have come up here before , there is a you tube video of them or ones with same actuators in action on a red/ purple colour vette .Honestly you could make a cup of tea and have it half drunk before they reach the full open position.
Richard here has a line on some super quick electric motors with bracketry/ set up with way less hassle and controls that work awesome . A friend here has them and installation was so easy .
nice! how long did it take you to install? I wasn't going to get electronic headlights but then I came across this kit and I won it for $120 so I figured why not. Did you just disconnect the vacuum lines to the headlights or did you remove your vacuum system completely?
I've implemented the same exact thing. Didn't know there was a kit for it. Cost me about $60 in parts although mine opens slower. It's in my build thread. All you need is two servos, one relay and two diodes. I can provide info in anyone is interested.

It took an evening.
Probably longer including the time studying everything.
I took the actuators off and you need to take the springs and connectors off and all the vacuum hoses.
I put bolts in the holes and will have a piece of metal cut to cover the large hole. Will paint and bolt it on.
These pics are from when I first installed. The engine was out and everything stripped including interior wiring so was much easier. Safe to figure on taking the weekend.
Looks like a weekend project. I'm definitely looking forward to installing these soon!
Yes those have a good speed to them . The set I was bagging before must have used a different actuator or an eveready 9V battery ! A Good buy and good product for you.
and thanks for the link Richard. That's the link I'm referencing. It could be that old body mounts create the extra space? My front mounts haven't been replaced, just the rear.
