Default high compression engine ??
I am currently in the market for a 69-70 vert. My question is how do these high compression , either sb or bb, run on leaded gas? Have most of these engines been re-worked, i.e. shorter pistions, to lower the compression or driven on pump gas, additives or what. Are there any other considerations I should be aware of?

I have 10.3 to 1 in our 70 and run on 93 octane with no problem at all!

My 11:1 L-46 runs fine on 93 octane pump premium.
