Does anyone have a description of where I can find the instrument cluster ground location for the wiper switch? My wipers won't park. I tested the motor directly, and the issue is that the switch isn't grounding the grey wire on the motor. I was going to dig around and look for the ground wire, but I was hoping to get a heads up.
and how the switch works (and my money is on the switch). The black wire from the switch is also the same ground circuit 150 used for almost everything up front in the car. It runs to the headlamp switch, center gauges, and way more stuff. If the ground itself was bad you'd have way more issues then just wipers.
So, I'd pull the switch out of the car and test it using the picture below.
The wiper delay module is in the center console ahead of the shifter. The power antenna relay, anti-theft module and CCC (computer command control) module are on the front wall of the passenger side rear compartment.
I got the switch out today and I thought it was working fine, but then I realized that it doesn't appear to pass the test matrix. Everything works according the matrix except the 904 and 141 aren't going to ground when in the delay position. At least I think that is the case.
Since I never had them working, I assume the switch goes from off, delay, low, high as you move it up. Then if you press it downward from the off position is is the wash, or if you press it inward, it is the mist. If that is the order, then when it is in delay, there is no ground on 904 and 141. What could cause that? Can I open the switch up more, or is it time to buy a switch?
