Targa Tops Strap...
I have notice some of you folks out there have pictures of your t-tops straped to the luggage rack of your c3. Now is that strictly for looks or can we actually strap our tops to our rack and drive at 100 mph? If so where can I find one of those straps?

This is actually a kit with brackets that allow you to strap the tops to it. If you want one, be prepared to pay big $$$s since they are no longer available and are hard to find. Try ebay if you want one.

i saw one on e-bay about 3 months ago and the price got up to 350$ or 400$ for the bracket and straps you need. it was a little rich for my blood when you could probably fab. one yourself, if you had one to take measurements off of.

Here is what the brackets and straps look like. They clip to your luggage rack.

It'd be cool if someone that has the brackets would lend them to one of you guys who can copy them or make drawings of them so they could be mass produced. I'm sure you'd get enough interest to get a bunch of them made up. :smash:

Could somebody give me some measurements on these brackets, I have a long (taller) one, but not the shorter.
How far apart on rack, side view, and how tall from rack?

There is a Corvette Vendor that now carries the brackets and straps. They are called Vette Specialties. The whole set-up I think sell for about $300.00. If you need the websight let me know.
