Well I thought I'd never find someone to paint my car. But not only did I find someone but they took the car right away and will get it back to me sometime around thanksgiving. Which is much more then I expected. Also the old paint peeled off so easy they said they'd do the doorjams for free and for a small fee a color change. I'm thinking red with a black stinger and carry the stripe over the back of the car. I'm just excited and had to share. The car has looked like my sig for almost three years I'm having a hard time imagining it one color. :D
here's some shots after they peeled off all the paint. I'll have more as they progress. http://bellsouthpwp.net/t/t/ttoptony/allgone.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/t/t/ttoptony/downtheside.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/t/t/ttoptony/rearpass.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/t/t/ttoptony/sharkfront.jpg
itll look awesome when its done! post alot of pics when you get it back!! i just got done with my paint job, and nothing feels better than getting looks of admiration, as opposed to looks of "WTF!?"
Just got my car back from being painted a week ago, and it looks like it's a brand new car. My car was the same way with 3 different colors (red, yellow, and orange).
Good luck......My car had 7 layers of paint underneath the mille Miglia red.....I went with a PPG Black cherry pearl color which ironically looks very close to the 50th Anniversary Color
"ironically looks very close to the 50th Anniversary Color" Really it doesn't sound like it would. Yeah they found three seperate paint coats. The original green metallic, blue then the cheap MAcco blue on top which peeled right off. Luckily it was in good enough shape that they didn't have to take it down to the glass.
