Default Power Door Locks

I'm trying to understand how this system works and I'm having trouble with the switch diagrams. The switches are double throw but the schematic of the switches makes them look single throw. What am I missing? I'm assuming the switches are shown in their center position and then they can be thrown one way, is that lock or unlock? Also, looking at the diagrams it looks like the LH and RH switches are built differently internally but I can only find 1 switch for sale that seems to be for either left or right, is that correct?

Center switch position would be no contact & no continuity. Left in diagram would be ""open" & right would be "closed" the power just goes thru the lock solenoid backwards vs forwards, depending on switch position.
That help?

But if the LH switch was centered there would be no circuit to the actuators and the RH switch could never work? It looks centered now to provide a circuit to the actuators for the RH switch.

I think I figured it out. The diagram is showing both switches centered. When either switch is moved, only 1 of the switch mechanisms shown in the diagram moves. So up changes just 1 side of that switch and down changes the other side. Really confusing why they show the left switch with the two sides tied together as if they both move together. Since both switches are the same, if that was true for the left switch it would be true for the right switch. Ground flows to both sides of both actuators from the right side switch in it's centered position, through the left hand switch in it's centered position. Moving either switch changes one of the grounded wires to 12v to lock or unlock the doors. It's fairly simple I suppose but the way the diagram is drawn makes it way more confusing for me.
