So I just broke my hand brake right at the black plastic handgrip part. I see replacement handles for $100 and they come with an installation tool. So how hard is it to replace the handle and what is that included tool for?
the punch is used to hammer out the rolled pins holding the handle on. Just a convenient sized punch so you don't have to go looking for something to fit.
Its extremely easy to replace. Hardest part is fishing the brake cable back into the slot, doable just may take a lot of loosening of the cable for slack. I've held the cable taught with vise grips in order to fish it back into the slot.
Just take pics of how it goes together before you start It will be fine
