yesterday my 68 window got stuck about 3" from being completely down. power windows so first thing I did was check the power components- they are all good.
I think I found the problem- the front roller on the window glass- one with the post that attaches with a nut- it appears to be wobbling around, and got jammed in the track.
my question- how is this supposed to correctly attach to the glass?
I couldn’t find a picture of the “stack” but in the link below, you’ll see a roller on the end of a stud. The stud goes through the window with both rubber gaskets and the plastic disk in the pic. There is then a nut holding it in place.
when i looked into the door- looking down the glass from the top- I could see the roller on the stud wobbling around. and I could see a nut- which would be on the wrong side of the glass.
ugh, that doesnt look like fun to change in the door

It isn’t fun. These rollers fail at the end where the stud connects to the roller, not at the glass and nut end. Replace them all while you’re in there.
so fished my hand up inside the door last night, the roller stud actually pulled thru the glass. so whatever should be holding it into the glass is so brittle from age its just crumbling.
Your glass should also have a metal support attached to it. 68 and early69 had them. They often rust out in places. You can find them but I don't think they are being reproduced. Need to be very careful when working the nuts and loosening thtu old glass Some of the other parts. Not to bad a job.
