I have a a fairly original Sept. 69 car with a 350/300hp motor. I’m puzzled by the Harrison expansion tank, which appears to be original, I thought. The 3016340 number on it would suggest its the correct tank, but the date code stamped on it says 85D. I didn’t know they made these tanks in 1985....Is it a replacement?
Yes, it's a GM replacement... They made this tank up till the late 80's and possibly the early 90's I'd have to check on our system tomorrow. If you buy a dated one from us just include the last six of the s/n and it'll be dated properly.
