I'm already looking for new project to start now that the 709 is in the final phase. In my next project a SB Twin Turbo would be a nice solution. Guys here, Monty and Twin Turbo are good examples what kinda potential lies in the mouse blocks. Anyways I've been looking for different crate TT engines and I came across a company called Nelson Racing Engines. They offer an 750hp/640tq Twin Turbo 350, anyone famiar with the company? http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/index2.html
It seems that there might be problems on how the turbos a mounted on each side, making the engine too wide for C3 enginebay. Anyways all kinda of input will be appreciated on this and other tt set ups on the market.
Cheers, jay
Looks super nice groovy but my concern wouldn't be widt but rather the height of the turbos, mine are mounted far more sideways. I'd ask the mesurement from the top of the intake to the top of the turbos so you can check hood clearance.
So what kind of car is the new project gonna be??? (hint: 69 camaro :D )
I'm starting a similar project... you gents know who makes the largest potential displacement aluminum 350 based block? (e.g.- 427+ CI aluminum smallblock)

Dart...they make a 9.500" deck aluminum small block (4.125" bores). Compared to my 9.325" deck Dart/Rocket block, you could run 4.125" stroke crank vs. a 4.00" crank with minimal work and still have a relatively decent rod/stroke ratio. Donovan and Rodeck also make good aluminum blocks that would allow you to build a 454+ ci small block as well.
It looks like we gonna have two twin turbo vettes in Finland :D
Banks Power also has TT setup for SB coming in late January 2003 http://www.bankspower.com/HighPerformance.cfm.
Didn't get any measures yet but they will propably have few different setups you can order, or we can ask if they could make one that fits C3 ;) . They promised to let me know when they get them ready.

ya i ws reading through one of my dad's old vette magazines from the early 80s and Gale Banks performance had made a twin turbo kit for the 79 corvette, made the car do 11.70 ets at 124 mph, and with 12 pound boosts it would run high tens. also the turbos were low lying so you could drive around without anybody knowing. it says here that the price was $3795 US for the turbos, not installed.
