I apologize if this is too petty. I'm new here. I have a 73 coupe. I bought new striker plates and screws because mine were rusty. My AIM shows a " cement" behind the striker plate. Are the old ones hard to remove.? What type of adhesive should I use to put the new ones on?
Any other tips that would save me headaches is greatly appreciated!

I am reposting this because I did not get a reply. Any feedback on this is helpful. Thanks.
If your referring to the triangle pin wedge and plate, they are not usually too bad to remove as the adhesive is frequently dried out, that said, it can be tricky to remove without chipping the paint. Use a razor blade if necessary to separate the plate from the "paint"
The part inside the frame is more of a worry, if the adhesive has let go and you remove the two screws that plate can drop down inside the quarter and cause grief. loosen off both screws and make sure the plate is firmly attached before removing them, and even then i'd remove the top screw and stick a scratch awl or something into the to retain the plate JIC, basically do one at a time type of thing but I'm paranoid
