Default 82 Low RPM Stall

Hello. I just got an 82 this summer. Ran very well until last week. More vibration/rough idle at a stop light. Then a few days later as I was pulling back into a parking lot the engine shut off. (Note I had been fiddling with AC controls at the same time, AC bezel is warped and some vacuum lines are torn)

I guess my question is should I cap off open ends of AC vacuum control lines to prevent vacuum loss until I can install new lines in winter? When I bought the car the white heater control line was severed but the AC could be jimmied to grt AC on. Now I noticed the black "input Ck. " line is also severed at the nipple in the firewall (where white one is also cut). I suspect that vacuum is being lost right now and that may be dorking up my idle. I also would want the headlights not to have issues (both went up/down in tandem when I bought the car indicating good vacuum). Really how does the logic of the AC control system work (what does vacuum v no vacuum on each particular line mean)?

Someone else who's more familiar with '82 vacuum system will chime in with specifics ...

But ... your assumption is correct ... those vacuum leaks are culprit of rough idle & shutdown.

It may behoove you to get a vacuum system diagram for 1982.
