Have a regular plumbing outside water shut off but the antifreeze eats threw the rubber hose has any one tried a in line prestone antifreeze filler in line service valve? What else might be used?

I have that same unit. Found it at my local NAPA. Counter person asked if I wanted 3/4" or 5/8". I got the larger for the hose going to the heater core.
Some of those shut-offs look like they belong on a gas kitchen stove or a washing machine. Get something that looks "automotive".

Yes the one I posted up is available at advance auto. Yes it fits right into the heater hose. I cut mine about 6” before the heater core and spliced the valve in. Installed it with the handle down and it’s barely noticeable. I don’t ever use my heat anyway.

Yup, that's a good unit. I open mine half way in the spring & fall for defrosting, close in the summer.
has anybody ever put in two 12v electric solenoid valves, 1 in each hose, and connected them to the heater controls or a hidden on/off switch?
i have 1 of those 4 way ford ranger heater tap/valves in mine, but have not run the push/pull cable into the cabin yet....
i hate the voices in my head sometimes.........
I just dont think there is any reason to over complicate it. generally, its either hot enough you dont need the heat, or cool enough you do. takes 10 seconds to pop the hood and open the valve when you need it
