side pipe connection

I am developing leaks in my side-pipe connections to header from the pipe. It seems to be because the engine torques & the pipes are rigid. Are they supposed to be mounted on something that moves or some kind of flex-pipe between collector & pipe? Thank you!

Nope. Have you thought about replacing your worn motor mounts? Poly or solid mounts should correct your issue.

No, they are pretty crudely engineered. I've had both Hookers and Doug's (Doug's are a little better quality) and they're both fairly rigid on the frame, even with the rubber bushings.

When I made my sidepipes I used Stain Steel Works hangers-

Another option would be a flex pipe-
