Default Loose green wire

I was checking the vacuum on the wiper door when I noticed a wire that was just sitting unplugged. Couldn’t find a place to connect it, any ideas?

It plugs into a sensor on the cylinder head next to the spark plugs

Do you or did you have an electric choke? If I'm not mistaken green was used for an electric choke.

Yep. Your post doesn’t say what year you’re working on but it looks to me like it’s for the temp sender that’s between cylinders 6 and 8 in an early C3. It senses temp for the (primitive) idle kick for the pollution control system. The connector is “L” shaped with 2 slots for flat spade connectors, right?
