CTZ
1970 BBC 402 Chevelle, Nova
1976 sbc 400 Passenger Car
it's Not an LT1
-addendum-
JMO, for the purpose of building a hotrod, I'd much rather have a small block 400 than a Big Block 402

1975 CTZ was a 400 (175 horse 4-barrel) small block with either TH350 or TH400. It was used in full-size "B" Chevys, police cars, taxis, and station wagon.
1976 CTZ was a 400 (175 horse 4-barrel) small block used in full-size "B" Chevys.
Check the block casting date code to nail down which one you have. If it's a '75, you can tell people you have one of the rare Corvette police cars.... (or the equally rare Corvette taxi...)
I wouldn't dismiss the 400 block as a platform for building a killer engine - it's a heckuva' way to make a ton of reliable torque and power. With good heads and a cam, it will knock the socks off any 350 or 383 build...
