I have a situation where I had to remove my freshly remounted body due to a shimming problem. I noticed that the two aluminum puck mounts with the raised center were on both of my #1 mounts. My AIM and David Howard say they should be in #1 and #4 driver side. Brian Bair says he puts them in both #1’s. Just wanted additional confirmation on where they should be. I have found it is difficult to have the recessed tops both captured in the #1 spots and still have the two body to frame check holes line up. Thanks guys! I did replace all 8 mounts when restoring my frame.

Thanks for the DocRebuild pic. That definitely shows same side. My AIM is page G1 and it lists the two different spacer numbers but are different part numbers that yours show.

Just for giggles could you list the part numbers ?
Wish you success !
#1 mount and #4 mount left side part# 3941909. #2 and #3 part# 3842911. Obviously the recessed mount wouldn’t work in the 2 or 3 position but like I said others have said they go in both #1 positions. My AIM only references the left side mounts. Thanks again for your help!
