71 steering wheel blues...
This is my “hula hoop” steering wheel...
My 71 is all stock, matching numbers and pretty much all original and I want to keep it that way. Unfortunately it is not equipped with a tilt telescopic steering column and at 64 years old the huge steering wheel makes it difficult to get in and out. If I find a blue TT steering column someday I may switch it out but until then I’d like to install a smaller, 78 to 82 style steering wheel. Will the later year steering wheel bolt right on? I may need to go back and forth between the original steering wheel and newer smaller one if I show my Vette. I don’t think I’ll be lucky enough to find a blue one but I’ll have it recovered anyway. Should I limit my search to specific years? Thanks for the advice...

All the later year- 77 onwards standard steering wheels will bolt straight on. I put a 77 wheel on the same column as yours , of course the 76 (Vega) wheel doesn't count
Just buy a 13-1/2" or 14" diameter wheel, leather covered, in the same general style as you C3 wheel. Use vinyl dye or leather dye to recolor it the same as your interior. There wheels are readily available from many auto parts suppliers for around $100.
