fan clutch replacement

Is anyone familiar with the thermal fan clutch offered by Summit and do you think it will fit on my 76 350??

Not that specific one, but a good thermal clutch fan with the correct pilot hole for the pump will work fine. I have used the ones from AutoZone made by Imperial and they work great and are reasonable.

The thermal clutch fan uses a bi-metal strip with the internal clutching mechanism to "engange and disengage the clutch and fan based upon a temp range. The non thernal uses internal fluid that due to temp expansion engagues and disengauges the clutch and fan. Which is best? Both work well, however the thermal with the bi-metal strip seems to be more accurate and does not lose RPM's in fan rotation as quick as the other. The origional GM's were non thermal and replacements are the thermal. Hope that helps.
