Default tripower float adjustment seal question

I have done this before but it was many years ago and I'm old and can't remember how to replace the round float adjustment gasket on top of the carb. Do I remove the nut and not turn the screw or the other way around?
Thank you all,
JIm

Hold the nut and remove the screw. The nut has a double D hole and will lift off, you'll need both the upper and lower gaskets.

I would check the float level after replacement.

Thanks suprspooky,
I guess I had forgotten that I need 2 gaskets. I bet I still have extras of both cause I remember them coming in a box of 6 or something like that.

When you replace the gaskets, cover the new gaskets with a light layer of grease by rubbing them between your fingers with a little grease. This will allow you to make float adjustments by turning the screw and the nut without tearing the gaskets.

I put some grease on my gaskets (as recommended by Lars )and now I am not needing new ones every time I adjust the floats
