Default Nose support rod

The rod that connects the nose support to the radiator support has come loose at the radiator support. How difficult is it to reattach it?

Your model has a bolt going through the radiator support panel , the end of that rod has a 90 degree bend in it and butts up against the support with a threaded hole in it.

It's right in the middle so you gotta reach from under the car.

My question would be why it has come detached? Bad/rusty lower support?

This is the early design front bumper support. This page from the AIM is not usually provided in new AIM. You'll need to find it in an old AIM. Note change #1 says Redrawn & Revised, dated 6-12-67.

These are changes #2 through #6, all dated 10-13-67. These parts did not show up in production until about April 1968.
