Reverse Lockout Bracket
For my next big question, where does the reverse lockout bracket mount on the tranny? I have been looking at the diagram in the assembly manual and trying to make sense of it. Rolling under and out several times and still cant see.
Also while I am at it, can you tell me where the switch on the short shift lever goes to.
These two connections and I will be finished installing the tranny. Thanks for any help you guys can give.
If you are talking about the interlock cable. There are two clips, the first bolts to the upper front sidecover bolt (it is just a "C" type clamp) the other bolts to the upper drivers side bolt that holds the main case and tailshaft together.
That second clip, the interlock cable goes through it and is held in place by a "C" clip.
What switch are you talking about. There is a hole on the reverse lever for the backup linkage and a TCS switch the trans itself.

Re: Reverse Lockout Bracket (trw)
Thanks for the help. I finally figured it out after looking at your post and studying the other bracket in the garage. I am getting closer all the time. Thanks for your help.
I know this thread is a 100 years old, but is there a friggin trick to the bracket/clip that attaches to the trans tailshaft bolt? I have the engine and trans in the car, with that bolt off. Getting that thing on is a royal BITCH!
