Default Rebuilding a 74 stingray

What's up fellows I'm helping my boss finish up his 74 vette the guy that started it put some long tube headers on it and there real low not much ground clearance im trying to find a set that are not as low what do y'all recommend

Welcome to the forum. A lot of guys are having success running Hooker Comps or Super Comps. Here's a good thread about headers. Pay particular attention to Post #10 as there are some fitment issues when running aftermarket steering systems.

I bought the Corvette factor assembly manual it's a little hard to follow is there some other book that's s easier to follow

I'm waiting for Corvette repair for dummies myself. Chilton's used to have some good manuals and there was another brand too but I can't remember the name. The factory manual shows good breakdowns and not much else

basically aim to refernce and i treat this forum as a modern service manual. The service manual also helps

Im installing the rear deck it's a convertible ive got the latches on the lid and the catches on the car but im unsure if it's correct the latch doesn't engage the catch there's bolt holes for the catch already in car so I think everything is mounted right but it sends the catch is to low anybody have any pics of the way it's supposed to be

Re the headers, are you sure the front springs haven't sagged and thats why theres not enough ground clearance?

I bought some chrome rocker moldings and they don't fit the curve if the car there for a 74 anybody else have this problem
