Default 1980 Headlamp question

The left headlamp bezel does not clear the body properly in order to install/remove it without scratching the paint. What adjustment allows the headlamp panel to be raised up another 1/2" to allow the clearance. I removed the actuator pin to try to get the clearance which worked for the passenger side but not the driver's side.

Thanks for the help.
I would have liked to just run out to the garage to check the assembly, but the vette is at the body shop. To help move the job forward I've been doing some of the disaaembly.
I made it over to the shop this morning and the stop adjustment on the 80 is on the side, held with 2 bolts. The other end of the bracket is nothing more than a 90 degree bend.

The 2 bolts are in slotted holes
