Manifold vacuum port. Feeds headlight circuit along with the HVAC controls.
Can I please take a fizz can of GM Corporate Blue paint to your engine so it doesn't look so much a very well kept survivor...?

Thanks for that.
When a good corvette shop replaced my manifold gasket to fix a coolant leak, I asked what it would cost for them to strip the manifold down and paint it. Believe it or not I was too cheap to pony up the $150. A few regrets in life, that's just one of them.

You found a good Corvette shop in our area? I did the same task on my 78.

That vacuum ports varied depending on the number of ports needed. M40 needed a port and later with cruise control also required a vacuum port.

I haven't found anything around here, unfortunately. The manifold gasket replace was years ago when we lived in CT. There were at least 3 trustworthy vette specialty shops, doing anything from simple repairs to complete restorations, within a 45 minute drive.

Be careful with those aluminum (or pot metal) fittings! They become very fragile with age.
Your engine compartment looks great just the way it is!
