Thanks to folks on this forum like ajrothm and others, I am nearing completion of a CS 144 alternator and MK 8 fan installation.
So appreciative of those so willing to share.
My question however is the space below between the radiator and crossmember. Other than the sway bar, it is fairly open.
As I have been diligent in sealing all aspects of the fan and radiator, should I be concerned with air taking the path of least resistance and flowing into the engine compartment from underneath instead of through the radiator?
Those of you that have converted to electric fans, has this been something to address or can it be ignored. Its a small block application and I am pleasantly surprised of all the additional room it allows.
Your thoughts please?
That fan will pull plenty of air through the radiator... Don't worry about the gap between the radiator and the frame crossmember. Its a non issue. Mine and every other one has the same gap.

...and if you're really concerned then you can fabricate a shield to install below/aft of the radiator. Below is what the one from my 68 looks like. It bolts on with the sway bar bolts You could make something easy enough, and flatter, since it wouldn't have to support the mechanical fan shroud.
