Default Recommendations for 427

I'm going to rebuild the engine in the 427-400 we just bought recently. It's a 4 speed AC car with 3.08 rear. I want to stay mostly stock except for 2 1/2 pipe off the stock exhaust manifolds and maybe the cam. I'll probably keep the 3.08 rear. Any recommendations on camshaft...is the stock one good enough?

Thanks,
Greg

Sounds like a nice combo the way it is. Mine has 3.55's and I often wish it had the higher gears when I cruise it on the long trips. That said, you can never have enough power! It would depend on your usage. Going to the track? Just shows? Mine makes plenty of power the way it is and is very easy to drive for my wife, although she wants power steering.

With stock manifolds and compression, you could probably get away with a little more cam, if you wanted.
