Default Electrical Questions
1. How is the harmonica connector for the steering column attached to the column? I have a clip there, but don't understand how it attaches.
2. On the column by the actual ignition switch down closer to the firewall, there is a capacitor. What is that for? On my car, the wire is brown and has broken off but the Packard clip is salvageable. Where does this female end connect to? I have what seems like a random black wire with a corresponding male Packard connector. Is that it?

It just pushes down, and latches on the tabs of the column bracket. Pictures should help.

VERY helpful. Thank you! There are two female harmonica connectors. How are they secured other than plugging into the connecter in your pictures?
