Default First Road Trip in '76

After rebuilding both front and rear suspension, adding a 2004r tranny and changing the differential to 3:70's I am planning my first road trip in my '76 in about 6 weeks. I will be leaving Ocala, FL and heading to a cabin in Blue Ridge, GA for a few days and then to Tail of the Dragon before heading to Cape Girardeau, MO for 2 weeks with a possible trip to Branson, MO from there and back. Then head back to Ocala, FL. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,000 miles or so. I've put together a list of things I need to take but would appreciate any input you might have. I have AAA and a cell so I'm covered at least that much. I also have a serpentine system so I have an extra belt.

This is the vette I'm taking. Couldn't figure how to embed a video so had to just give a link.

Hey Barry-

The wife and I have done several 3000 mile plus trips in a week in my 73 on the Hotrod Power Tour. Stayed at places you could do laundry!!!

Double check your wipers and RainX is your friend. Also a coat of RainX fog treatment for the inside windows is a good thing!!!

Had a bunch of tools in a plastic bag inside the spare- but thankfully never had to use them.

I also pulled out the original jack and got a smaller bottle jack from Harbor Freight.

Plus hard wired a better cigarette lighter jack and USB- for the Phone and GPS.

OH- take plenty of pics- I always use a separate camera rather than my phone-

On the way to Norwalk OH

You might plan a few lunch trips on a hot day. Like Daytona Beach ang back to Ocala would be a good education.
Great looking car and it should be great fun on driving tail of the dragon.
