cheap sidepipes
what can anyone tell me about these JC Whitney sidepipes, I know they are only a knock off of the hooker ones but what is the performance difference, with these headers would they be worth it

especically if i removed the baffels from them, is this a worth while option, all advice appreciated

First of all the sidepipes are the cheeziest type of copy, fake header pipes running under the car with only a single pipe actually connecting to the stock exhaust manifold. Personally I would NEVER put something like that on my C-3. As for the shorty headers, why would you want to use those for $250.00 when you can buy full length ceramic coated Dynomax headers from Summit Racing for $220.00?
J.C. Whitney sells a set of inexpensive sidepipes that are only a single chrome plated pipe that you can connect to either headers or your exhaust manifolds. They appear to be the same sidepipes that Dynomax sells for more money. These are Chrome plated and can be covered with a factory style sidepipe cover. The downside is that they are very restrictive. I'm planning on adding sidepipes someday, but I plan on building my own out of 3 1/2" stainless steel exhaust pipe then using JCL spiral baffles inside them. I'll put fiberglass reproduction sidepipe covers and paint them silver and black.
